Yesterday night I went out for dinner to this place. I actually planned for going to some other restaurant in Mani Square but the decor of this place was so nice that I went here. It was moderately full, a soft background music playing, novel decor. The staff welcomed us with a smile and gave us the table according to our preference. We opted for the buffet which was 425/- per person.
Unlike other places, here only the soup is served at the table. The rest is Self service. Here goes our food:
Cream of Chicken soup
It was a thin soup with very less pieces of chicken. Salt was less.
Starters
Dhania pudina chutney at the center bottom.
There is a chicken tengri on the left of the chutney which honestly I did not like. The prawn in bbq sauce (at the center of the plate) was ok. It was not crunchy. It had cooled down so became a little hard. On the left upper side is the cottage cheese salad and veg salad which were good, especially the cottage cheese. Right to the veg salad, a dip called houmous which was good. On the right of the plate, the white and red ones are fish starters and were really good.
Main course
At the center is a rice with spinach and cream. It was very good. On the right is chicken salad which was not bad. On the left of the rice is zucchini pancakes which were very tasty. On the top is sauteed vegetables with houmous dip and a fish preparation which was excellent.
Apart from these there was a chicken, a mutton dish along with another kind of rice. In veg they had, daal makhani and a paneer preparation.
Desert
There was a chocolate brownie, gajar halwa, fruit pastry and vanilla ice cream
The gajar ka halwa had excess scent so I did'nt like it.
The brownie was good.
Overall it was a bit disappointing experience for me. It's decor and initial service was quite promising, but the food could have been much much better. The service also deteriorated. We had to wait for water for quite some time. There was no one at the live pasta counter when people were taking food.
I will give this place a rating of 2.5 out of 5
